How do you build an AV system that stands the test of time? What does it take for a "cutting edge" project to still be up to date five years after installation? A case in point: the lecture hall AV system Sound Vision installed at Concordia University’s Christopher Center, which continues to be one of the most popular teaching and presentation rooms on campus. How did we do it? Preliminary planning identified critical needs. A custom-built podium and instructor stations have worked well with Concordia’s teaching style. If you had an application that would push your projection system to the limits of its endurance, which projector would you choose? That problem was a crucial one recently for the Field Museum, which needed projectors that would be able to run constantly without damage from overheating when turned on their side—something well beyond the capability of most projectors on the market.
